Black Sun

A video made of sounds and images of Skype conversations with my mother, who lives in Calama, on the aridest desert of the world, at 2.275 meters of altitude, in Chile. A weekly conversation, sharing sound and images, allows me to talk with her while I am abroad.

Since I became a migrant, the relationship with my relatives has been conditioned by the distance. Contemporary forms of communication have created new paradigms of the reality and redefined the imagery that defines social relationships and remembering of ours families.
