Facing the Sun is a collaboration with Lucia Jeesun Lee

This project is a 24 hours scanning of the Sun light on several places around the world, displaying a selection of open source stream webcams, broadcasted through the Internet.

Facing the Sun is an ongoing research project that attempts to “eternalize” the light of the Sun through the systems of contemporary communication. It represents a vision of a globalized world constantly “connected” erasing boundaries of time and space.

This project is split into two main parts; the virtual part represented by a website (facingthesun.gonzalo-ra.net) and the physical part, materialized by an installation.
